There have been differed sees on the topic of the inconsistencies found in the best of the American Fathers. This is valid for everyone, and of everything. It would be vastly all the more astonishing to strike upon a memorable figure, or without a doubt a country, that was not dependent upon this law. Jefferson didn't epitomize logical inconsistency. Jefferson was a logical inconsistency, and this will be found at each progression of the account that goes to make up his life. (Hitchens, 2008). It has ever been commented that Jefferson was in two personalities about subjugation all through his profession which can be viewed as proof for his contentions. From one viewpoint, as a youthful government official, he held his perspectives for the disallow ance of subjugation in new American domains and, on the other, he never liberated his own slaves which made him a logical inconsistency in himself. The huge inquiry ever have been â€Å"How could a man liable for composing the consecrated words We hold these certainties to act naturally obvious, that all men are made equivalent have been a slave proprietor? Baldwin s Views On Personal Liberation - 1731 Words

Baldwin’s views on personal liberation are a bit difficult to describe. This is because, throughout his stories, Baldwin shows a great deal of permeability in his view of personal liberation. It could be argued that this permeability occurs because of the length of time between when each story was written. In his earlier work, such as â€Å"Previous Condition (1948),† Baldwin’s views of personal liberation seem very pessimistic. This is seen in the way in which his character think, speak, and behave. Baldwin critic C.W.E. Bigsby writes, â€Å"Baldwin’s characters are highly self-conscious, reflecting not only upon their social situations but on the nature of their consciousness itself. The question of identity is constantly presented to them.† (328) In â€Å"Previous Condition,† Peter, the protagonist of the story is extremely aware of his situation as a black man. He acknowledges, in various situations, the external oppression in which he fa ces. Throughout the story, he expresses his anger toward this oppression to his two close friends, Jules and Ida. While Peter is very outspoken about this external oppression, he acknowledges his internal oppression in a much different way. Though he is aware of his internal oppression, and the effect that this internal oppression has on him, it seems like he makes little attempt to change these feeling within himself. An example of Peter’s internal oppression can be seen in the opening paragraph of the story. â€Å"I woke up shaking, alone in myShow MoreRelatedThe Role of Entrepreneurship in Economic Development in Bangladesh4090 Words   |  17 Pagesestablished businesses. Booty Essay Example For Students

Booty Essay The joy of the word booty Who likes booty? I like booty, and I think we should all like booty. Whether it is pirates treasure or the beautiful behind of a woman, booty is a fantastic possession. I come from the lower class section of Ft. Lauderdale and in that area the booty is most often linked to the description of the African-American womans posterior. I have always used the word booty, but recently I was told that it was a black term. I was shocked to hear this, and when I inquired as to why it was a black term, I was told that I shouldnt use words like that because they make me sound foolish. I do not always use the word booty but in some circumstances it is very necessary to use it. In my opinion it adds emphasis in the description of the size and beauty of the butt. What could possibly be wrong with using a word that is supposedly a word from a different heritage? We use words like sheik and entree all the time. I believe that there are no black or white words, some words just happen to be used more by certain races. We should not be limited to certain words just because we are of a particular race. I firmly believe that whether a person is black or white they should know the true meaning of booty and should know why many people are in love with the ever powerful booty. The word booty as defined in the New Dictionary of American Slang, is esp. black, the female body as a sex object; the sex act; ASS. Where I come from, booty is a word that is used to describe an extravagant behind. From what I have learned and seen, booty describes the size, the thickness, and the luster of one of my favorite body parts: the butt. The word booty is so descriptive that when someone uses it is understood quickly and usually without discussion. I usually do not hear people describe white women or any other type of women other than African-American, for that matter, to have booties. Whether this means that they do not possess the qualities to have their posterior described a s a booty, I do not know. I do know however, that I have seen women of various nationalities that have what I would consider perfect booties. Usually when men discuss booties they are seeing it as a sex object which is something that makes women want to have a voluptuous booty. Having plastic surgery on womens butts is becoming an everyday occurrence. Women (in most cases) would like to attract men. In some cases women become envious of other women with bigger and more developed rears. I have personally witnessed women argue over who had a nicer butt. There has also been a case in the MTV series The Real World where Tammy discussed how much she wanted a ghetto booty. She had actually gone to the extreme instance of getting a fake pillow-type booty to wear underneath her own clothes. The booty is such a popular topic in American culture that there are dozens of song that talk about the beauty of the booty. There is a RB song titled Bootycall (sung by Blackstreet) that talks about whe n women call mens houses for sex. They say that the men reply with a request for some booty. Another song titled Tootsie Roll (69 Boyz) was very specific on what they looked for in women. They said that they wanted women to please them and wanted the women to let them have a piece of that booty. The most popular of all songs that pertain to booty is the controversial song Baby Got Back. (Sir-Mix-Alot). Sir-Mix-Alot says, I like big butts and I cannot lie, and another brother cant deny, that when a round thing gets in your face you get sprung. This shows that women and men alike are willing to exploit their posterior enough to reap its profits. The word booty is often a misunderstood word. It has been called a black word, a white word and various other things. Not only is booty .u75dcd8c07d0b24a88f40a4ef30a4edae , .u75dcd8c07d0b24a88f40a4ef30a4edae .postImageUrl , .u75dcd8c07d0b24a88f40a4ef30a4edae .centered-text-area { min-height: 80px; position: relative; } .u75dcd8c07d0b24a88f40a4ef30a4edae , .u75dcd8c07d0b24a88f40a4ef30a4edae:hover , .u75dcd8c07d0b24a88f40a4ef30a4edae:visited , .u75dcd8c07d0b24a88f40a4ef30a4edae:active { border:0!important; } .u75dcd8c07d0b24a88f40a4ef30a4edae .clearfix:after { content: ""; display: table; clear: both; } .u75dcd8c07d0b24a88f40a4ef30a4edae { display: block; transition: background-color 250ms; webkit-transition: background-color 250ms; width: 100%; opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #95A5A6; } .u75dcd8c07d0b24a88f40a4ef30a4edae:active , .u75dcd8c07d0b24a88f40a4ef30a4edae:hover { opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #2C3E50; } .u75dcd8c07d0b24a88f40a4ef30a4edae .centered-text-area { width: 100%; position: relative ; } .u75dcd8c07d0b24a88f40a4ef30a4edae .ctaText { border-bottom: 0 solid #fff; color: #2980B9; font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold; margin: 0; padding: 0; text-decoration: underline; } .u75dcd8c07d0b24a88f40a4ef30a4edae .postTitle { color: #FFFFFF; font-size: 16px; font-weight: 600; margin: 0; padding: 0; width: 100%; } .u75dcd8c07d0b24a88f40a4ef30a4edae .ctaButton { background-color: #7F8C8D!important; color: #2980B9; border: none; border-radius: 3px; box-shadow: none; font-size: 14px; font-weight: bold; line-height: 26px; moz-border-radius: 3px; text-align: center; text-decoration: none; text-shadow: none; width: 80px; min-height: 80px; background: url(https://artscolumbia.org/wp-content/plugins/intelly-related-posts/assets/images/simple-arrow.png)no-repeat; position: absolute; right: 0; top: 0; } .u75dcd8c07d0b24a88f40a4ef30a4edae:hover .ctaButton { background-color: #34495E!important; } .u75dcd8c07d0b24a88f40a4ef30a4edae .centered-text { display: table; height: 80px; padding-left : 18px; top: 0; } .u75dcd8c07d0b24a88f40a4ef30a4edae .u75dcd8c07d0b24a88f40a4ef30a4edae-content { display: table-cell; margin: 0; padding: 0; padding-right: 108px; position: relative; vertical-align: middle; width: 100%; } .u75dcd8c07d0b24a88f40a4ef30a4edae:after { content: ""; display: block; clear: both; } READ: My View of College Essay

Sharon Olds Sex Without Love Essays - Emotions, Personal Life

Sharon Old's Sex Without Love ?Sex Without Love,? by Sharon Olds passionately describes the author's disgust for casual sex. She vividly animates the immortality of lustful sex through her language variety. Olds' clever use of imagery makes this poem come to life. Olds frequently uses similes to make the audience imagine actual events. For example, Olds describes making love as ?Beautiful as dancers.? (Line #2) In this line, she questions how one can do such a beautiful act with a person whom one is not in love with. Olds also describes sex as ?gliding over each other like ice skaters over the ice.?(Line #3,4) She is referring to sex as a performance. Imagine an ice skating performance. Each ice skater is performing for judges and an audience to win an award. Olds uses this simile to relate people performing for one another. When two people truly are in love, there is no need for any special show or performance. Another simile the author uses is ?As wet as the children at birth whose mothers are going to give them away,? (line #6,7,8) to simulate a sweaty lovemaking scene. The simile ?light rising slowly as steam off their joined skin? (line #11,12,13) can also be used to perceive the same image of a hot, sweaty, and passionate love making sce ne. The author repeatedly questions how two people who are not in love can perform such a spiritual act. The simile ?As wet as the children at birth whose mothers are going to give them away,? can also be used to represent the outcome of lustful copulation. When two people engage in sexual activities, a large percent of the mothers choose to ignore the outcome and either abort or give their children up for adoption. Olds compares the lovers with ?great runners.? (Line #18) In this simile, she implies that lovers are alone with their own pleasures. Olds' questions this selfishness throughout the poem. How can two people be alone in pleasure, when sex is supposed to be both physically and emotionally shared between lovers? Olds uses hyperbole to describe her belief that sex and God are entwined. ?These are the true religions, the priest, the pros, the one who will not accept a false Messiah, love the priest instead of the God.? (Lines #13-17) In these lines she says that sex is more than pleasure, and if one is merely using sex for pleasure they are accepting a false God. She describes people as hypocrites who claim to love the lord, yet engage in immoral sex. In the lines, ?come to the come to the come to the God come to the still waters, and not love the one they came there with,? (lines #8-11) Olds describes two people climaxing. Olds perceives sex as spiritual, and wonders how people can bring a person with whom they are not in love with before God. Olds uses hyperbole to share her disgust of casual sex with her audience. Peace in Jerusalem essays

Peace in Jerusalem essays Just as Madeleine Albright was heading to the Middle East, peace talks were already starting to deteriorate. "The chief Palestinian negotiator, angry about accelerated construction plans at Jewish settlements in the disputed West Bank, said he would no longer discuss anything with Israel except the settlements, which the Palestinians and much of the international community consider illegal." 1 This of course disrupted any chance of a "broad settlement to end a century of conflict". 2 Albright arrived in Saudi Arabia late Monday night, the 6th of December, and on to Syria for talks with President Hafex Assad yesterday, arriving in Israel sometime late today. These negotiations were to be a final Israeli-Palestinian peace treaty. They were to be completed within a year17. With this new problem, however, they ground to a halt. According to Abed-Rabbo, "We have stressed to the Israelis that this issue is creating a major obstacle in the path of the final-status negotiations". 3 This issue must be finalized before any further agreements can be made. The negotiators from the United States were "disappointed but not entirely surprised by the latest turn of events. It is hardly uncommon, on the eve of a visit by a U.S. secretary of state, for one side or another to seek tactical advantage by manufacturing a crisis." 4 This ruse is very possibly a way for the Palestinians to pull the U.S. into the negotiations, "to compensate for their weak negotiating position relative to Israel." 5 The "Israeli officials dismissed the dispute as artificial, created by the Palestinians in the hope of drawing Albright into a direct mediation role during her two-day stop here". 6 This is not an unfamiliar situation for the U.S. negotiators as they prepare to come into the region, "similar crisis often have occurred in the negotiation process as American envoys have made preparations to come to the region, and they said it was not yet clea...

Accounting Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 500 words - 15

Accounting - Essay Example On April 16, 2010 the company release a news story that showcase one of its new innovative products called milk bags. The news release may have influenced the price of the common stock. J Sainsbury plc is the United Kingdom’s biggest player in the food industry with a market share of 16%. In 2009 the company achieved total revenues of 18,911 million pounds. The revenue total was 6% higher than in 2008. Normally greater revenues lead to better bottom line results. In the case of Sainsbury the greater revenues did not help the company improve its performance since its net profits decreased between 2009 and 2008. In 2009 the firm had net income of 289 million pounds, a figure that is 40 million pounds lower than the previous year. The net margin of the company was 1.53%, while the industry norm is 1.4% (Dun & Bradstreet, 2010). The return on equity and return on assets of the company were 6.88% and 2.88%. Both figures were lower than the industry average of 11.9% and 5.5% (Dun & Bradstreet, 2010). The current ratio of the company which shows that ability of the firm to pay its short term debt was 0.55. The current ratio industry norm is 1.9 (Dun & Bradstreet, 2 010). The results means the firm is underperforming in comparison with the industry and that the firm is at risk of having cash flow problems. The stock price of the company during April faced upwards tendencies. These types of movement are short term fluctuations. Based on the fact that the company is facing liquidity problems and the bad profitability results in terms in relation to its assets and equity I would not invest in the common stock of

Jeffrey Rosen Analysis Essay Example for Free

Jeffrey Rosen Analysis Essay In Jeffrey Rosen’s essay â€Å"The Naked Crowd†, he argues that people have a desire to prove and establish themselves as trustworthy in today’s society. Pressured by the public eye, many feel the need to convey personal details about themselves in order to gain this trust and feel more secure. Rosen critiques this idea, noting that if everyone exposes personal information, individuality is lost and anxiety about identity will remain. Rosen explains how individuals are constantly urged to market themselves to a world full of strangers via the Internet and its numerous social networking sites. They are expected to create a personal image that is seen as consistent and memorable. Many let out their thoughts and emotions hoping for a reassuring response from the audience. However, studies show that sharing too many personal details online may in fact have negative effects when it leads people to vent their feelings in a void, without the support of a receptive audience. Rosen also highlights how the Internet is creating an unbalanced relationship between liberty and security. He questions why people are more concerned with feeling connected than with the personal and social costs of exposure. Rosen discusses how â€Å"our conceptions of personal truthfulness has changed from sincerity to authenticity†(415). More and more people in today’s society have no problem disclosing intimate details to strangers. Some even create false images of themselves to appeal to others as trustworthy and intelligent. Rosen brings up the idea of â€Å"personal branding†, in which individuals present the best version of themselves in order to establish and maintain emotional connections with strangers. These personal branders thrive upon approval from the public, hoping to become more successful in their careers. Rosen states that amongst the chaos of everyone struggling to stand out as unique, personal branding ultimately leads to conformity. The most substantial binary opposition embedded in Rosen’s essay is the idea of privacy versus exposure. It is now common to share the most private of moments on the Web for people to consume. Not only has the Internet made it easier to reveal these personal details to a broad audience, it has unfortunately become more difficult to recover information that has already been posted. Once people decide to go public, there really is no turning back. Rosen expresses his concern with valuing exposure over privacy. Lionel Trilling of Harvard University feels that â€Å"there should be an honest correlation between what is exposed in public and what is felt in private†(Trilling 415). In other words, not everything we feel has to be shared. People have this inaccurate assumption that forcing an emotional connection with a stranger by sharing personal details will make us feel like we belong. However, exposing too much information about ourselves may lead to us feeling more alone and confused about our identity. In conclusion, individuals are too willing to give up their privacy in order to feel a sense of emotional connectedness. Our desire to gain trust from a crowd of strangers blinds us from the reality that exposing personal details has detrimental homogenizing effects. Works Cited Rosen, Jeffrey. Mildred Pierce and His Girl Friday:Portrait of Working Women in the Pre

Mildred Pierce and His Girl Friday: Portrait of Working Women in the Pre- and Post-World War Period His Girl Friday and Mildred Pierce are two films from the 1940's that deal with the position of women within the workforce in the time prior to America's involvement in the war, and after the tide turned in the Allies' favor respectively. This has a great deal to do with the ways in which these women--Hildy and Mildred--are portrayed. The two films are of drastically different genres and plots, and this in addition to the social milieu in the two drastically different times that they were made shows the changes in attitudes towards women in the workforce over the course of the war. His Girl Friday is a screwball romantic comedy that creates a fantasy world and a fantasy woman who navigates this world with great ease. She finds love at every turn, and succeeds in earning her heart's desire, which is both a career and a man who loves her, who, with every underhanded trick, proves the power of love. Mildred Pierce on the other hand, was made in a combination of the film noir and melodra matic styles, showing a woman's struggles for both success and love, and within the diagetic space of the film, she is constantly frustrated. Mildred, at the beginning of the film's timeline, has the life that Hildy Johnson, throughout His Girl Friday, claims that she wants--a nice suburban existence with a nice family and a nice house with a metaphorical white picket fence. But a darker picture quickly reveals itself, and this life is not as perfect as it seems. To support herself and her family, Mildred begins to work for a living, soon realizing that with her ambition and intelligence, she can prosper. She wants to give her daughters the life ... ...ountry that shouts freedom from oppression from the rooftops must be insidious when it comes to restricting those freedoms. Mildred Pierce is a fable that gives a picture of what women's lives would be like if they did not let men do their wage earning, if they did not embrace their traditional role, if they did not learn their lesson and stay at home. Mildred had no choice but to search out employment, relying on only herself to support her family, like many women in the war-time period. But she did not keep to her place. She did more than just earn a living, she prospered, and to let that image remain with American women could have been disastrous to the American economy. She could not be allowed to succeed, because she was trying to play too many roles, to achieve in every aspect of her life, and that, according to the American way, from a woman, is not allowed.

Memory: Bullying and Life Essay

My earliest memory of my childhood joy was when I was four years old. I was sitting on the kitchen counter next to my mom helping her fix dinner. I do not remember what we cooked but I do remember having fun with my mom, it was the first time she taught me how to prepare food. I remember my mom cutting an onion and the juice squirted into my eye; it hurt so bad I screamed and yelled. To this day I still do not like to use onions when I am cooking, for this reason I have someone else cut the onions for me. I have always loved cooking with my mom and still love how we joke around when we are in the kitchen. I loved that I could tell her anything that is going on with me in my life when we are alone in the kitchen cooking together. Looking back at these moments in the kitchen with my mom, I realized more than ever that I wanted to start learning how to cook when I was four years old. We shared our lives while we were in that kitchen, and she taught me how to use many different types of recipes that I could use with many types of food. I love how we shared things and would tell each other our juicy secrets that we would never share with anyone else. She would also give me advice on problems that I had going on in my life. In the future, I will use this method to develop a relationship when I have my own daughter. I know she will ask me how to cook and show her step by step how prepare delicious food, that’s when I will cleverly ask her about her life. I want her to be able to come and talk to me about any problems that she has and when she needs a solution, I will help her resolve it quickly. Hopefully we will develop the kind of friendship that I have with my mother now and I hope this can be a stronger friendship that can never be broken and thrown away over silly things. My earliest unpleasant memory of school was getting bullied. I started getting bullied when I was starting middle school. Every day when I would go to school, the bullies would be there waiting for me to come so they could bully me until I would cry out in front of the whole school, I was so embarrassed and horrified of what they did to me in those days. Sometimes I am scared to tell my parents because I don’t know how they will react to the situation. I would get bullied because I didn’t have the right clothes that everybody else had on and because I was fat and they would say that people would never hang out with me or become my friend. I hated that my friends would not help me fight the bullies. They would just stand there clueless and not standing up against the bullies because they did not want to become the next target or get picked on. The bullies also picked on me because I had a learning disability. This means that I cannot defend myself because I was slow and could not comprehend what they were doing to me at school. In middle school I was a quiet kid who never bothered anyone, I was kind and I kept to myself. I didn’t know I was different or â€Å"uncool† until I started middle school. Sometimes being bullied makes me feel like I am the only one getting bullied on and I hated that so much. I was verbally and physically bullied every day and I couldn’t take anymore, I was getting harassed so much that they soon had nothing left to bring me down. I even tried to tell a teacher but she would not listen to me or believe my story. I was so scared for my life and nobody would help me; they would just stand there and laugh at me. At one point, I was constantly getting ridiculed by the popular kids and they always called me all sorts of names in the â€Å"bully book†. Getting bullied as a child scarred me for life and sometime I have a hard time forgetting what they did to me and how they did it. Four years later, I think back to all of things the bullies did to me and how I could have prevented it from happening in the first place. To this day, it still makes me cry every time I think about it. I feel like I will never be able to shake off the damage that was done to me. Will I ever be a complete person again? Getting bullied has affected me in so many ways but bullies do not really realized nor do they care how much agony they are causing the kids that they are picking on. I really want to tell the kids that are getting bullied today to realized that they can talk to someone about this. When this was happening to me I felt so alone and it is horrible to have no one you can turn to for help. It is also horrible in having going to school every day knowing those kids are getting enjoyment out of their misery. I hope one day I can talk to kids that are being bullied by other kids at school and encourage them to talk to a counselor or the principal about what’s going on. I have learned that I cannot let people bring me down because that can follow me in life. I have to make sure that I stand up for myself and what I believed in because fighting is not going to solve anything and I need to be stronger against my enemies that tried to bring me down. I can always know that I will have God by my side no matter what because I am not in this alone. My most vivid memory of my adolescent defiance is that I was easily agitated, I had a very explosive temper that I could not control during my adolescents years. I was so resentful, spiteful to my parents, my friends and to others that I treated badly. I would always get in an argument with someone that was getting on my nerves or talking my ears off about nonsense that I didn’t care about. At some point, I was desperate to prove that I was â€Å"an adult† to my parents and friends because they were not acknowledging me as one. Sometimes I often feel like I did not receive the respect and autonomy that I deserve. I would get so mad that I slammed the doors and would yell obscenities at people or my family members that did not deserve to be yelled at in the first place. I would just leave the house so that I can clear my head and think about my behavior and how I was vindictive to my family members and my friends that cared about me and loved me so much. I hated that I was disrespectful to them and that I called them names and cursed at them for no reason at all. As a teenager, it was tough for me to get along with people that did not like me or did not want to hang out with me. In high school, it was hard for me not to curse at the other kids who were saying bad things about me while they did not even know me. I had no idea why would they do that and I guess never will. As I was growing up, I learned that you should never be disrespectful to your elders but I was in that stage where it was funny to do it because other people were doing it too. I could tell that I was changing because of my negative attitude and how I was talking to others that were trying to help me feel better. I did not feel better because I felt like I was still filled with anger, frustration, and depression that I could not control my emotions cause they were all over the place. I didn’t even know how to hide my feelings from people. As I have grown older, I have changed my ways because I prayed to God that I wanted to change and become a different person that people will love and adore. I did not want to be that girl that disrespects people for no apparent reason. I want be a nicer person that will help people with their problems or difficult situations. I want to be able to control my anger and my emotions because I don’t want to do something I will someday regre t doing.

Women were paid only two-third than male pilots even though they performed exactly the same duty. In one instance, the military replaced two female pilots with an all-male crew just fifteen minutes before they were to pilot a plane across the Atlantic. People believed that women were emotionally and physically sensitive and questioned their capability to handle their responsibility in war. Some commanders even believed that women did not have the stamina to handle the strain of towing targets for gunnery practice. At times, women pilots were grounded by male commanders during their menstrual cycle every month because of the widespread stereotype that they were less efficient during their menstrual cycle. However, the WASP put this inaccurate and narrow thinking to an end by proving with their flying records that they were better pilots even on the first day of their cycles. Despite the discrimination, young women from all around the United States responded when called for women pilots. They were

Heartless Capitalism Exposed in A Christmas Carol by...

Beginning in England in the late eighteenth century, the Industrial Revolution changed the face of the countrys economy. Despite becoming a center of wealth and production for the world, the majority of the capital rested firmly in the hands of wealthy capitalists who had little regard for the suffering endured by millions of working-class individuals. In A Christmas Carol(1843) by Charles Dickens, this theme of industrial suffering is illustrated through the historical and symbolic characterization of Bob Cratchit and his family, juxtaposed against Scrooges heartless capitalist ideals. Through this powerful theme of industrial suffering, Dickens permits the reader to visualize the suffering of the poor during the mid-Victorian†¦show more content†¦It is ironic that the comforter which should provide warmth and comfort, bears little protection from the cold and suffering. Similarly, Bob Cratchit is not permitted to replenish his fire because Scrooge withholds the coal box in side his own office. This coal symbolizes the basic necessities of life which the gluttonous upper class individuals withhold from the working-class, in a complete disregard for their well-being. Therefore, having seen poverty first-hand, Dickens implies via the poor salary, the harsh working conditions, and through the lack of heat that the capitalists willfully abuse their workers as to retain extra capital for their personal use. Due to Bob Cratchits passiveness amidst the disdainful conditions, Dickens implies that the working class cannot stand up to the wealthy, for in doing so they risk their employment. If they were to stand up, the capitalists could easily find another individual who will eagerly fill the same position under the same conditions. Representative of this socio-economic situation, according to Green and Parton occupation [was] critical when life was conducted as a hand to mouth existence. The workers are trapped; without the little money they earn through employment their families will starve. Therefore

Psychologists Prescription Privileges-Free-Samples for Students

Question: Do you think that Psychologists should have Prescription Privileges? Answer: The given essay is over whether the psychologist should be given the right to prescribe medications. The topic has gained extensive attention over the past 2 decades in United States and most recently now in United Kingdom. Psychologists mainly deal with the mental illness of patients. Some people supported this view that psychologists should be given privileges for prescriptions where some argued that they should not be given this right. The purpose of the given essay is to give supporting arguments in opposition of prescription rights for psychologists. The essay has included some major arguments from literatures to support the point. New Mexico is the first state which gave the rights to the psychologists to prescribe medications. Under the Professional Psychologist Act, the psychologists can apply for a conditional prescription certificate in New Mexico State. There are some procedures which the psychologist has to follow to get the authority to write prescriptions to patients. The law in New Mexico State facilitated psychologists to get 2 years license of prescription medications under supervision of physician by fulfilling these requirements: a.) Passing a national certification exam, b.) completing at least 450 hours coursework that contains the assessments of clinical pharmacology, pharmacotherapeutics, neurophysiology, physical, laboratory knowledge and psychopharmacology, c.) Completing at least 100 patients meeting under expert physician supervision. In all these three procedure steps the supervisor supervises the work of psychologists and if he approves the prescribing record of the psychologist then the psychologist can apply for independent prescription privilege. To continue the prescribing right, the psychologist must contain malpractice insurance and also need to complete at least 20 hours of continuing medical education annually and he has to work together with the patients primary physician. The law has given the power to the psychologists for prescription according to the laboratory test results (DeLeon Wiggins, 1996). In the given paragraph the views are mentioned in the opposition of prescription rights of psychologists. The important question is whether the above mentioned trainings will enable the psychologist to give prescription safely and effectively to the patients. Many big medical associations like the American psychiatric Association, The American Society for Geriatric Psychiatry, American Medical Association, American academy of child and adolescent psychiatry and many other health associations believe that the answer should be no, the psychologists should not be given rights for prescriptions. They all believe that the governor of New Mexico has placed the patients health and safety at risk (Fox et al., 2009). By only passing the certificate examination and completing training, the psychologists cannot get all prescription knowledge. The psychologists generally do not have experience of patients medical background and they might use powerful and strong medications for the treatment. It is obvious that the patient meets the psychologists more than the physician but it does not mean that the psychologist knows the patients illness more than the physician (Sanua, 1995). The psychologists contain the limited knowledge of medications because they get the prescription knowledge from short time course but on the other side the physician gets the medical knowledge through medical education and longtime extensive clinical experiences (McGrath, 2010). Over the past decade, almost 14 state medical associations have rejected psychologists prescription privileges after considering the medical research data and patients health and safety risk. The mental illness of the patient is a serious health problem which cannot be taken lightly. The person with limited training and no medical education should not be given right to take patients life risk. In this case the psychologist also faces legal risk because the patient can die due to wrong prescription (Resnick Norcross, 2002). There are some reasons mentioned in the given paragraph, not to give the rights to psychologist for prescription. Some major reasons are: a.) It is not possible that only a 1 year course can give all the knowledge to the psychologists for prescription where the physician spends 4 to 5 years in medical schools to get the prescription license. b.) To prescribe the medicines it is important to know when it should be prescribed, which medicines should be recommended to diagnose the particular disease, how much dose should be given to the patient for treatment? c.) The drugs used in medicines interact with other drugs and sometimes give negative impact on patients health due to the chemical reactions between different drugs. So the physicians give the advice the patients that they should not to take any prescription without consultation of physician (Gutierrez Silk, 1998). e.) It is also important to know what to do when the medicines give side effects. If the patient is suffering from s everal diseases then the physician gives the prescription after considering all the diseases of the patient and the bodys condition to treat well. f.) If the new symptoms are noticed in the patients body then physician examines appropriately whether the symptoms are due to the prescriptions or they are the indication of new disease. g.) To understand all these critical aspects the psychologist needs to do a deep research which cannot be completed in short time, the medical research takes time of several years (Jameson Blank, 2007). The prescription ability, the physician gets after several years of medical practice and experiences. By that the physician gets the knowledge to deal with different cases of patients and also considers the benefits and side effects of various drugs. The physician handles multiple cases throughout his life time which help to enhance his knowledge. I dont think that psychologists should be given prescription privileges because only a short time course cannot give complete medical knowledge to them and it will not be safe for patient. The psychologists are specially trained to treat the mental illness of the patients and they are expert in understanding the psychology of the patients. Many times they treat the patients by modifying the psychology of the patients but the roles of physicians are different as they treat the patients illness by recommending the right medicines which can fight against the disease (Massoth et al., 1990). Roles of both the psychologist and physician are diffe rent from each other so the psychologists cannot do the work of prescribing medicines. References DeLeon, P. H., Wiggins Jr, J. G. (1996). I have four buckets, okay, this one which I am using now at present and this one now which I am going to use, though it is not my brand, that mean if I am not getting my brand then I can use this one, okay and this one I will not use this brand and this one is the brand which I like the most. Means I am using this one or not it doesn’t relate to anything but I thought this brand is good one, okay this four, I got four buckets, now just tell me fast, brands which you have told me will go in to which buckets. Okay, you said Johnson Johnson this will go in which buckets. Is that you are using currently? R: Yes. I am using it. M: So you are using it, which product you are using? R: Face wash. M: Is there anybody who are using this? R: No. The children are using this products; they prefer they will use that. M: Okay. But now I am talking only about you? Okay, so you are saying that you are using the face wash and for all others where it will go? R: Good brands. R: We use it or not, but it is a good brand. M: Okay, and what about Lakme where it will go? R: Good product. R: We are using Lakme, but rarely. M: Which I admire the most that type of brands you have to tell or this is the best brand or it can be substitute, if my brand is not available, I can use other one. R: Substitute. M: Okay. Nivea are using it, can do, or not? R: No, but might be. R: No. M: Okay. Why you are saying that, you will not use Nivea? R: See the cream is becoming very oily. R: We get pimples in our face. M: Okay and what about others? R: Same thing. M: Lotus where it will go? R: Good brand. R: I use this brand sunscreen. R: I am using face wash. R: I am using scrub. M: Okay, for you the Lotus will come in this bucket and for others where it will go? R: We are using face wash, but there is no good new brand. M: Rest of you? R: Substitute. M: Okay, what is there in Lotus that you can use this? R: It’s modern. R: When I heard review from many of them, so it’s genuinely good. R: Facial kit is good. M: Okay and what else? R: All the varieties. M: Okay and tell me one or two products name? R: Face wash, creams. R: Sunscreen is very popular. M: Why Sunscreen is so popular? R: Because they have SPF-30. R: SPF-150. M: Have you ever used it? R: Yes. M: Okay, and what about the Pantene where it will go? R: We can use it as a substitute. It’s good. R: Good. M: What is the quality in Pantene, that you say it is good brand? R: It’s good. R: Give good result. M: Good means? R: Temporary look is good, don’t know about future. R: The day we wash it looks very good and it’s give also good result, shining, smooth. R: It’s strong for long term use. M: Okay and what about others why you can’t use Pantene? R: Because we didn’t use it. M: Okay. But did you hear anything about that? R: Yes, we heard about it, but we didn’t use it. R: Pantene is for hair-care, but not for skin-care M: Yes, I am talking about Pantene shampoo, you said that you can use it, you can think about it? R: But the end result is good. M: Okay. What do you want to say? R: In this we can get the varieties, transparent bottle I have seen that, I will compare it with international brand. R: It’s an international brand, not an Indian brand. M: Rest of you agree with this, that Pantene is international brand? R: Yes, international brand. R: Good. M: Okay, and what about Camay where it will go, are you currently using it? R: No, we didn’t use it yet. R: And in future also we didn’t use it? R: I will never use the Indian one. M: Which one? R: Camay soaps. M: Why you are saying that, you will never use Camay? R: Because the smell is very strong. R: When we have so much of other product, good varieties, why to buy this one. R: I think so, compared to that its better we can use the Park Avenue that’s much better, it’s Indian but good. M: So, why you are saying that we will never use it? R: Quality is not good. In India the quality that they made is totally fake, you can see the difference compare to other brand? M: What type of difference you think? R: The fragrance, the effects, you don’t feel fresh. R: Dry. R: It’s not after effect. R: If you take other one, at least it remains for 20-25 minutes, but in Indian one, you had bathe or no it’s the same. R: You don’t feel fresh. M: Okay and what will be the effect to the skin? R: Its becomes normal, neither become dry, nor good. So, I don’t like the quality. You like the soap which keeps you fresh for longer time. M: So, what is there in soap, that you say its good, it gives freshness? R: See, actually after having a bath, you feel fresh and ready for you work kind of feeling. R: Fragrance. R: Moisturizer. R: Shiny skin. R: Because we don’t have that much time in daily routine life, after bath, use moisturizer and that. R: It nourishes. R: It removes dirt from your skin, it should keep your skin very clean, that should be there in soap. R: I am using Dove, Camay is anyhow not available. R: Camay is just like soap. M: Okay and what about this brand Head Shoulders? R: It’s good. R: Brand is good. M: What so good about it? R: It is good for dandruff we can use this, it’s very good for that and it gives good results also. So we can use as a substitute also. M: Okay. What about the Pears? R: Winter. M: Only for winter? R: Yes, it’s a good brand. M: What do you mean by that? R: It’s good. We can use this in winter? M: And what about you? R: Same. M: So do you use that? R: Yes, in winter. M: Okay, so from these four where it will come? R: Substitute. R: It’s good. R: Good. M: What is the definition of good from your point of view? R: It’s good but we are not using it. R: There is no problem in using it. R: If our brand is not available, then we can use it as substitute. M: No, suppose if you want to use it then? R: Yes, then it will go to substitute. M: Okay. R: I will put this into substitute. M: Okay, I just want to ask you whether you will recommend this to others? R: No. We have not yet used, so how can we say. M: Okay, but the people who try it and use it then? R: I like the advertisement of the Pears. M: Okay. I know about you, but the people who didn’t decide yet whether they will use it or not, I just want to ask them only? R: See it’s a good brand, but sometime we have to buy it, we will buy it. M: Whether you will use it or not? R: I will use it. R: I will not. R: I will take it in stock, because it available very rarely. M: Okay. R: If there is any offer with this product then we will use it. M: Okay, but in your mind it’s a very high quality and good brand? R: Yes. R: Its is good. R: The cost of this is 35 Rupees. M: Okay. R: The cost is only 35 Rupees. R: In short it’s not bad. R: It’s a good brand. M: Okay, is that your special brand? R: If it’s a special then we will use it. R: There is one more in blue color, menthol one. M: Okay, could you think good about this brand? R: People will think about it, because Pears is not a dull brand. That we can’t even think. M: Okay. Now let’s say you want to use this brand or no, so it will be of my type or no? R: Yes. M: Currently I am wearing gold jewellery, but I can also wear diamond jewellery and currently I want to purchase a diamond ring, so do you think that kind of impression is there in this? R: Diamond is something different, we are using dove, but above of that if there is any other brand, we can think of it. M: So you mean its gold? R: Yes. M: Okay, Dabur Vatika? R: Never. R: No. M: What about others? R: Yes, never. M: What is the impression of this brand? R: No. R: Bad impression. M: Why? R: The oil is not good. R: I don’t like the smell. The smell is very strong. M: What is Dabur Vatika. R: Soap. R: Shampoo is also there. R: I am talking about both. R: I have only heard about Dabur Shampoo, Vatika shampoo, its about green color bottle, I have not yet seen a soap. R: Oil and shampoo. R: Image is mostly of oil. M: Okay. R: See the image of the Dabur, it is only for oil, not the shampoo. M: Okay, so where it will go? R: No use. M: Okay, what about Lux? R: No use. M: What is the reason that you will not use the Dabur Vatika? R: The impression of course. M: Why you don’t want to go? R: The oil is good it non-sticky, but other products are not so good. M: Okay. R: See we can go for oil because it’s not so sticky. M: But you told me that you will not use the Dabur Vatika? R: Yes, but not much, it will not our first preference. R: Other products are there, it is not just the only brand. R: There are many substitute of this, like Hair Care, Parachute advance is there. R: Parachute advance. R: Dabur shampoo, we will say no to it? M: Okay. Did you have any experience towards this brand? R: No. M: What is the quality that you say I will only use the oil? R: Because the oil is good and it’s not sticky. M: And what about the shampoo? R: No we not use the shampoo of that brand. M: Okay and what else? R: There are no varieties. R: It’s a very typical Indian look. M: Okay. R: The old people will trust Dabur, because it’s hearbal and old product. M: But what about you? R: We will go to modern brand. M: Okay, and what about Lux? R: No there is nothing in Lux, the skin will become much dry. R: Non-innovative. M: Okay, so where it will go, in which bucket? R: Third bucket. It’s not innovative. M: Okay, where it will go? R: No use. M: Okay, you said it gives brightness, so what about others? R: Yes. The same thing and it melt soon. R: In past we have used it a lot, but not now. M: Okay. R: Actually before two or three years we are using the Lux, and I think in soap the Lux is the first brand which change the shape. M: Okay. R: And on that time people are crazy about it, because of the beauty soap. M: So what happened that the craze comes down? R: The variety. Because what we want in that brand we didn’t get that, so that’s why. R: We were using it long back like 25 years, that time we were searching for something new. M: You mean soap doesn’t give you a good effect. R: Yes. R: Dryness. R: There are no varieties. M: Okay and what about Dettol? R: Its like hospital. R: When we fell sick we will use it. R: We will keep it, but we will not use it. R: Hand-wash and liquid we will use it regularly. M: Okay, so you will keep it at home? R: Yes, and we will use it for hand wash. M: Okay, so can I put it in current bucket? R: Yes. M: Okay, and what about Avon? R: Good brand. R: We are not using it, but it’s a good brand. M: Where it will go? R: Under good, we didn’t use it but it’s good. M: Why it’s good? Did you try it? R: No, but when we see if any products we can say that it’s good or not. R: I use it, the lipstick is good. R: There is a variety in products. R: Quality is there. M: Okay, when you use it why did you feel it’s good quality? R: It’s an international brand. And it’s fairly price. R: And even it’s not a common product, you have to buy it from outlet. M: Okay. So they have outlets of Avon? R: Yes. You can’t purchase it from mall, it like a Amway product. R: You can purchase it from mall or medical shop, for this brand you have to go to the special outlets. R: Same of Oriflame. M: Okay, so you like this products, why it is good? R: Yes, but long back. R: Oriflame deo is good. R: Face wash is good. M: You like that product and what about Sunsilk? R: We are tired of using that brand, and now we are not using it. R: We use so many sachets of Sunsilk during college time. M: Okay, in which bucket it will go? R: Cross one. M: Why? R: Because they give new ads, they give new products, but we use the same thing. M: Why are you tired of using the Sunsilk shampoo? R: For so many years I am using this, if you we buy the yellow one the same smell will be there and the same look and the same results. Now they launched a new product called Sunsilk expert. M: So where it will go? R: In current use. M: What about Garnier? R: Substitute. M: Why it is substitute? R: It’s a good brand. R: Good result. M: What do you mean by that? R: It gives good result. We didn’t hear any complaints from the people who were using it. R: Garnier cream is very good. M: How would you come to know that the Garnier cream is good? R: Because I use the Garnier cream. M: Okay, so you use it. R: Yes, the hair color of Garnier is also good. I use the red color. M: Okay and what about you? R: Yes, I also use the hair color. M: Okay, for you the cream and lotion you are using currently, but why the other people are saying that it’s a substitute type of brand? R: I don’t know. M: Okay, you don’t agree with that, why and where it will go? R: I will not use it. M: Why? R: See I have never heard from anybody about this product, I am using the Dove product but I didn’t hear from any friends or relatives that it’s a good brand. M: Okay. Did you hear any negative thing about it? R: No. M: Okay so you didn’t hear any negative nor good about this brand? R: Yes. M: And what about Amway? R: It’s good. R: Oriflame, is good. M: Why you are saying like that? R: They all are outlet products. M: So outlet product means? R: International brand it has good effect. R: We heard about it M: Did you ever use it? R: No. R: No, I didn’t. M: How is your experience? R: Good. R: See Amway is very costly and its have so many products like past, shampoos, etcetera. R: First it came in bottle, but now they are†¦. R: It’s very expensive. M: Okay and what about the Ponds? R: Good brands. R: Good. M: Good mean where it will go? R: If we want to buy an talcum, so we will think of Ponds. M: Ponds you will think for talcum, for rest of the things? R: No. M: Okay and then where it will go? Did all of you use the Ponds talc? R: Yes, we did. R: Yes, we are. R: Yes, we do. For children also we are using the pounds talc, it not like we have not taken it. M: Yes, but you are not using it currently? R: No. R: Yes. M: So where it will go? R: Substitute. R: Substitute. M: Which brand do you use in talc? R: Lavender. R: Now their packaging is also been changed. M: What about LOreal? R: Good brand. R: Good brand. M: Where it will go, among this four bucket? R: With Amway. R: Its good we can use it. M: Are you using it currently? R: I am using it. R: Hair color. R: Lipsticks. M: And what is the thing in LOreal that you say this is a good brand? R: The name itself shows how good it is. M: How would you come to know? R: International. R: The image, it’s an international brand, if somebody ask which brand do you use then we say LOreal and they think that our status is very high. M: Okay, so you didn’t get all these from any other brands? R: No, only from LOreal and also from Avon and Revlon, but it attracts more. M: Okay, now we are going to discuss about other brands also. Okay, first of all I want to know about the Dove brand. So as you said you are all using Dove, when you hear about the Dove then what is the first thing that comes to your mind? R: Pure skin, moisturizer. R: More softness. R: First the white image, the shape of Dove. R: There is moisturizer in soap. R: We remember the advertisement while we are using this. M: Okay, so you remember the advertisement and what else? R: It melts but then also we are using it. R: Yes. M: Why? R: It melts a lot. R: Because we get the moisturizer in it and the skin become smooth and soft. R: It continuously melt, but moisturizer is very good. M: Okay, but then to you are using it? R: Yes. R: Result is good. M: And what else? R: Moisturizer. R: The picture of the pigeon. M: Where do you see that picture? R: On the soap box. R: On soap. M: Okay, what is that mean? R: Like how the white pigeon is very soft, so like that we also feel very soft when we are using that soap, purity. M: And what else? R: Symbolizes purity. R: Natural. R: Very cute and non-aggressive. M: Okay. R: The behavior is very quite. M: So how do you know about the happiness? R: It’s mild and smooth and no side effects. It take care of the skin. M: Okay so you mean it will not attack you skin. Where do you get to know about the Dove? R: By seeing the ads. Now they are showing more ads. R: Advertisement. M: Do you remember what they show in the advertisement? R: Yes, there is a lady of 30 years of age and her skin becomes dull and rough and after applying the Dove the skin become smooth. R: Mostly after 25 years we start searching for all this product and we just think about Dove. M: Okay so you already heard about it so that’s why you are buying the Dove? R: We have used it. R: Yes, we heard about it. First we see the ad and then we use it. M: Okay, so you have the experience of using the Dove so that’s why you come to know, but what about your friends maybe they are not using it, so what will be the impression on their mind of Dove? R: Mild. R: More mild. R: They think it’s mild. R: It has moisturizer. R: The only disadvantage is it melt soon. M: Okay. Somebody says there is soap of Dove and there is cream also? R: Yes, there is soap. R: Cream, shampoo is there. R: Hair cream is there. M: Okay. R: And the face wash product is also there. R: Dove has face wash, though it is not available here, but it has in international market. M: Okay and what else is there in Indian market? R: Shampoo conditioner is there, shampoo. R: Shampoos, soap and conditioner just are there in Mumbai. M: Okay. The Dove brand is competitive with which brands? R: With soap there is no competition with other brands. M: Why are you saying that? R: Because, what affect the Dove is giving there is no other brand is giving that affect. R: Johnson Johnson goes. M: Okay. R: But Johnson Johnson goes with it. M: Okay. R: Most of the people think that which soaps melt fast is not a good soap, but the fact is in which the chemical is more that soap will not melt fast, but in this soap there is no chemical, it’s pure, so it melt fast. M: Okay. R: But I think Dove goes with Johnson Johnson by comparison. M: Okay. R: Yes, actually it is for children, because if you match the quality and purity then you will find this also in Johnson Johnson. R: Yes, Wipro is also there. M: But in market which other brand is competitive to Dove, which is the closest competitor? R: I think the Dove has no competition with soap but it can compete with other brands for hair color and other creams, so it lost in their ways. R: It can be with Pears, but Pears is so outdated, that it is lost in the race. So there is no competition in soap. M: Okay, I am not asking about soap I am asking about the quality wise? R: The quality wise it will be Sunsilk, LOreal. R: Sunsilk, Pantene. R: LOreal R: I think I will go with Pantene, because of there is one Lively hair for hair therapy, for hair damage that goes with†¦ I am confused with Garnier and Pantene, because Garnier is also taking care of hair breakage, and you can see in advertise also so by seeing that ad there is so much of similarities in Pantene. M: Okay, but that’s only for hair experts, but†¦. R: In Sunsilk also the hair damage therapies is also there in seven experts. So we can say that it’s a tough competition. R: I feel with LOreal. M: Why so? R: Because the damage hair, Serum and the hair fall is of LOreal, but these all are same like Dove. M: Okay. So we’ll take another brand†¦ I am asking about the Dove, what are the main strong points in that? R: It’s mild. R: No side effects. R: Moisturizer. R: More of natural. R: No artificial colors. R: It suits to all skin. M: You said about the moisturizer, where it came from? How would you come to know? R: It written. R: It’s written on the shampoo bottle and also on the packet of the soap. R: Soap, shampoo and other product. R: Its written in ingredients. M: Which ingredients? R: Dove, shampoo. R: Shampoo, soap both. R: I am using dry therapy its written, one-fourth milk conditioner. M: Okay, and what are the qualities of Dove? R: Price range is okay. R: Not harsh. R: Second there is not much of chemical, so that’s why I called it natural, because there no chemicals, no colors. M: So do you all agree that the Dove is natural? R: Yes. R: No. R: It doesn’t affect skin, so we think it’s natural. M: Okay and what about others? R: Same feeling. M: Okay. Is there anything that you don’t like in Dove? R: It melts fast. R: I think so they will say it, if you want pure, then it will melt. M: And anything else apart from melting? R: I think I didn’t hear any complaints from other people. R: Not yet heard anything. M: Okay and what you think about it? R: Same. M: What will happen if it melts? R: Children’s don’t like. R: The soap with finished fast and it’s very costly. R: And it’s very difficult to catch once it gets wet. R: It gets stuck with soap case. M: Okay. Is there any negative thing? R: There is only one color. R: I think there should be Dove body-wash also. M: Okay, suppose if I got a magic stick and I just turn the Dove into a person, so tell me which type of person it will be? R: It is a good company and a part of L’Oreal. I can not say it is a bad company. Now the company has come up wit a new product, that is shampoo with oil, all have seen that ad. M: So, what all these convey to you about the brand? R: See it is a popular brand. I can not say that it is not popular. people are quite satisfied with it. It has conditioners, F3, it has all the ranges. M: Any one you, ever used any of its product? R: Yes, I have used hair cream. R: Yes. M: So, how is your experience with it? R: Very good. M: Anybody used it as of now? R: No M: What do you think of the Advertise? R: The concept is good but we do not know the end result. We are not sure whether it will work or not. R: May be oil will be left on hair. Then what is the use? M: What make you think so? R: You tell me, why we use shampoo? First of all, to remove oil. So if it is oil plus shampoo, then oil will not be removed and the hair will remain sticky. So it would not be useful. R: The product is good but will it able to deliver what sis is supposed to, is a question like the shinny effect on hair and softness. M: Okay, will you please tell me the name of Garnier products with which you are familiar? R: Garnier Fructis shampoo. R: Conditioners, Garnier cream or Garnier light. R: Garnier wrinkle lift, age lift. M: Are Garnier wrinkling lift and age lifts are two separate products? R: Yes, may be. I am not sure. M: Okay, what else? R: Garnier living is also another product. The way I have asked you all for the Dove, which one do you think is comfortable for Garnier? R: It has only conditioners and creams but not soaps. M: So with which brand do you think, it can compete with? R: I think, it will have competition with shampoos and L’Oreal. M: Okay. What else? With whom it could have possible competition with? R: it will have competition with L’Oreal even in hair colors also. M: Okay, what else? R: May be in the areas of fairness creams. R: It may have competition with Fair And Lovely. M: So, which is the largest competitor? R: I think, more than Fair and Lovely, it is L’Oreal who gives a great challenge to Garnier. R: It has Color Soft and Streax as well. M: What are the color soft brands? R: One is Godrej M: What are the main qualities of Garnier? What are the positive points about it which you like the most? R: I like its lines in the ad- â€Å"Apna khayal Rakhna† just like the words â€Å"soft, soft† in dove. M: Right, tell me something about Garnier, what ever you know. I know that you might not have used all the products of Garnier but what ever you have used, tell us something about the brand, the information you know. R: It is a good brand. Again it is a L’Oreal brand. It associates with L’Oreal but it is brought to a Indian market, so it is a good brand with a affordable price, within reach brand. I would term it as popular brand. R: I have heard a lot about the conditioners which are really very good. R: It is a good package. M: Okay, anything else? R: Wide range, good quality. R: I have used Garnier light and I liked it very much. M: What is good about it that you liked? R: It is a fairness cream but works as a moisturizer as well. M: What words will you use to describe Garnier? R: I would say reasonable, I can not say expensive. M: Do all of you agree with her? R: Yes. R: Yes. Shampoos come for about 89 or 90 rupees. R: A very common personality. R: She will have a attitude. M: What does that mean? What will she do then? R: She will not mix up properly and will not talk nicely. R: As said earlier, it is in a affordable price and every body would like to buy it but the only thing lacking is it is not stylish. but the new bottle is very good. M: Is she educated? R: Yes, well qualified. M: How is her background going to be? R: Educated and it has to be upper class. M: What would be her qualities? R: Good qualities only, nothing bad abut her personality. R: She is going to be successful but not very highly successful. M: Not very highly successful? R: Yes, she managed to capture the market but not to the extent of promotional success. M: What kind of clothes, she might be wearing? For dove you said white clothes. R: Yes, here it may be indo-western R: It would be of green color.
